Sinposis

The text "Biological Materials and Biomaterials" is intended to serve as a comprehensive guide to undergraduate as well as to graduate students and interested readers wishing to gain an initial view or to deepen their knowledge in this vast and multidisciplinary area of increasing scientific and social importance. As a consequence of this objective the different topics are presented following an essentially self­contained scheme in which the required concepts and results from each one of the underlying disciplines are introduced first and then their application is illustrated with some representative examples.
