Sinposis

Examines a little-studied area of film theory: emotional response to character, in relation to both cinematic fiction. Engages with a wide range of films and filmmakers throughout the twentieth century. Breadth of cultural studies: characters studied not just in relation to film, but to literature, clsaiccs, philosophy, music studies, and media studies.
